Management Consultant(Oil& Gas).

Core Responsibilities :
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Developing and recommending solutions that will bring business benefits to UK and European customers and to involve other practices as opportunities develop.
  • Leading consulting projects and ensuring the project delivery exceeds customer expectations
  • Developing and closing new business opportunities within existing and new accounts
  • Working closely with client partners, account directors, account managers, and both on shore and offshore to develop the account and to deliver services.
  • Providing staff in the team with effective leadership and motivation as part of client engagement and pursuits.
  • Maintaining effective working relationships at CxO and CxO-1 levels.
  • Recruiting, mentoring and managing consultants
  • Engaging with customers to determine proposals and value propositions.
  • Understanding and positioning solution offerings. Working with solution teams to develop new capabilities for the market.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Successful candidates will ideally possess demonstrable understanding of oil and gas domain based work flows and is experienced in working with multiple stakeholders at different levels and often multi-vendor project teams. The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
  • Consulting experience implement oil and gas IT solutions
  • Good understanding of industry operational systems and workflows – specifically around
  • Successful track record of achieving and completing transformation and advisory engagements within a major industry clients
  • Understanding of strategic account planning and marketing campaigns with practical knowledge of developing complex account plans and implementing them
  • The personal presence to act as an effective influencer and negotiator at the most senior levels of client management
  • Creative and entrepreneurial in approach but focused on effective delivery and business development management
  • Proven capabilities to lead teams and to sell consulting work in Calgary market (Global and local companies)
  • Proven ability to engage with customers to determine project requirements and scope
  • Deliver customer contracts on time, to budget and with high quality, while managing customer expectations
  • Experience with using project management tools and techniques to contribute to the effective management and delivery of a project and benefits realization

Qualifications:
  • 10 years or more of work experience with oil and gas companies and/or management consulting firms.
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • IT Management consulting experience preferred
  • Industry operational expertise

Looking for Well Data Manager for one of our esteemed clients in Norway.

Well Data Manager
Location: Norway
Job Type:
Permanent.
Duties include:
  • Well data handling, importing, transferring, exporting and distributing in different databases and for different user groups.
  • Working within the UNIX/Linux environment and with NT subsurface applications
  • Maintaining regular contact with customers and liaising with them to facilitate most efficient delivery of service requirements
  • Maintaining audit trail of data loading, data modification and data transfer events
  • Registering requests for well/seismic data services in logging system and keep request status current
  • Search and retrieval of data from national data repository
  • Handling well data from and with third party groups
  • Working to the required standards and procedures in place and relevant to different data types and their management
  • Contributing to relevant data and information management projects, e.g. upgrade of software; data clean up; documentation refresh
  • Adopting and maintaining good data management practices e.g. timely housekeeping; quality control
  • Knowledge of well data types and formats
  • Understanding of well/seismic data lifecycle i.e. acquisition, processing, QC, interpretation and analysis processes
  • Understanding of co-ordinate reference systems
  • Concern for data quality and data security
  • Experience in documenting standards and procedures.
  • Strong customer focus and concern for quality of service delivery
  • An understanding of sub surface data ownership
  • Excellent communication skills
In addition to the above listed essential attributes, the following would be desirable:
  • Experience working in upstream Oil & Gas e.g. service company or a user support role
  • Geosciences degree
  • Experience in handling seismic data i.e. import, export, transfer of 3D, faults, horizons etc in particular to applications such as the Landmark and Petrel suites
  • Scripting skills
  • Methodical and organised with desire to provide a high level of customer service
  • Experience in interacting with well data vendors and industry data sharing enterprises in the UK and the rest of Europe, such as CDA
  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows operating environments
